Every call answered. Even at 2 AM.

An AI receptionist inside your Relay phone system. It takes the loss details, sends emergencies to your on-call tech, and has the lead waiting when you wake up.

What it does

From ring to lead.

The calls your team can't pick up still end with a complete lead and the right person alerted.

  • Answers where you place it: after hours, overflow, or every call
  • Asks the restoration intake questions and reads details back
  • Live-transfers emergencies to your on-call tech
  • Creates the lead with a summary, linked to the call
  • Alerts your team by text, email, or app notification
  • Your greeting, service area, and the facts it may share
  • Sorts out vendors, solicitors, spam, and wrong numbers
Capabilities

Inside the AI receptionist.

Trained on restoration intake, and careful about what it promises.

On the call

It asks what your CSR would ask.

Name and callback number, property address, home or business, what happened and when, and whether it is still happening. Then the questions you turn on: affected rooms, insurance carrier and claim number, emergency conditions, and any of your own. It reads the address and callback number back so the details are right the first time.

  • Restoration intake out of the box
  • Add your own questions or switch optional ones off
  • Never quotes prices, arrival times, or coverage
Connects to LeadsWhere the lead it creates lands.
Emergencies

Active emergencies go straight to a person.

When water is still coming in, sewage is backing up, or there is fire, smoke, or collapse risk, the AI captures the name, number, and address, then connects the caller to your on-call step. If nobody picks up, that step's fallback runs. Callers in danger are told to call 911 first.

  • Live transfer to your on-call rotation
  • Lead marked as an emergency
  • Falls back to voicemail if the AI is ever unavailable
Connects to CommunicationsThe routing flow and on-call step it hands off to.
Built for restoration

A missed call isn't a voicemail. It's a lost job.

Why restoration companies need more than a generic answering bot.

  • The 2 AM call is a job

Water losses don't wait for business hours. A caller who reaches voicemail calls the next company on the list.

  • No separate answering service

The AI is a step in your Relay call routing, so the call, the lead, and the follow-up stay in one system.

  • Intake that's actually complete

Every caller gets the same questions, and the answers land on the lead instead of a scribbled note.

  • Honest with callers

Every call opens by telling the caller they are speaking with an AI assistant and that the call may be recorded.

AI Receptionist FAQ

Questions about the AI receptionist.

More on the FAQ page.

Is it available now?

Yes. We turn it on for your account during setup, and you choose where it sits in your call routing.

Does it answer every call?

Only where you put it. Add it to the after-hours path, the no-answer path of a ring group, or the front of every call. Nothing changes until you place it.

What happens with a true emergency?

It captures the caller's name, number, and address, then live-transfers to the on-call step you chose. If nobody answers, that step's own fallback runs, usually voicemail.

Do callers know it's an AI?

Yes. Every call starts with a short disclosure that the call is answered by an AI assistant and may be recorded, and it says so if asked.

Can we try it before customers hear it?

Yes. In test mode only the phone numbers you list reach the AI, and test leads are clearly marked.
