Moisture mapping your techs actually finish.

Map moisture right from the phone or iPad your tech already carries. Sketch the loss, log readings and equipment every visit, even with no signal, and Relay builds the Drying Report the adjuster needs.

What it does

From first walk-through to dry.

One flow on the phone or iPad: sketch, what's wet, zones, readings, equipment.

  • Moisture mapping on iPhone, iPad, or Android in the Relay mobile app
  • Works with no signal and syncs when the tech is back online
  • Sketch rooms by dragging, or scan them with LiDAR on supported iPads and iPhones
  • Mark wet floors, walls, and ceilings, then set drying zones
  • GPP, dew point, and grain depression worked out from your readings
  • Moisture points on the sketch with dry goals and a trend every visit
  • Equipment recommendations per zone, placed right on the sketch
  • Placed units show as deployed to the job in Assets
  • Drying Report PDF under your franchise name, emailed to the adjuster
Capabilities

Inside the moisture mapping.

The documentation that gets mitigation paid, without the guesswork.

Moisture mapping

The map and the readings, in one place.

Draw the floor plan with live dimensions, or scan a room with LiDAR. Mark what is wet, split the job into drying zones, and drop moisture points right on the sketch. Each point gets a dry goal from an unaffected reading, or from your company defaults, and shows its trend visit by visit.

  • Water class worked out from wet surfaces, with a reason to override
  • Air readings turned into GPP and dew point automatically
  • A 3D view of each room with the wet areas shaded

Equipment and the report

Equipment logged is equipment billed.

Relay recommends air movers and dehumidifiers for each zone, and adds them only after the tech confirms. Place each unit on the sketch, scan the specific asset, and it shows as deployed to the job in Assets. Dehu checks compare inlet and exhaust readings with a readout photo. At the end, the Drying Report goes to the adjuster with your logo on every page.

  • Fill to recommended, with a preview first
  • Equipment-days on the report
  • Choose which report sections to include

Built for restoration

Drying documentation isn't paperwork. It's the bill.

Why moisture mapping has to be easy enough to finish on every visit.

  • Techs lose signal in basements

Moisture mapping works offline. Readings, photos, and equipment changes save on the device and sync when it reconnects.

  • Every number explained

In-app explainers show how each calculation works and cite the IICRC S500 section it follows. Reading targets are your company's own settings.

  • Your process, not a fixed script

Set the questions asked at the start of a job, on every visit, and at wrap-up. Require a dehu readout photo before a visit can end if you want one.

  • Moisture mapping on the phone in their pocket

Techs map moisture in the Relay mobile app on an iPhone, iPad, or Android device. Big tap targets, a step-by-step flow, and no clipboard to transcribe later.

Moisture Mapping & Sketching FAQ

Questions about moisture mapping and sketching.

More on the FAQ page.

Can techs do moisture mapping on their phone?

Yes. Moisture mapping and sketching run in the Relay mobile app on iPhone, iPad, and Android. Techs sketch, map moisture points, and log readings on site, and LiDAR room scanning works on supported iPhones and iPads.

Does it work without cell service?

Yes. Everything is saved on the device and syncs when it reconnects. Calculations run on the device too.

Can we scan rooms instead of drawing them?

Yes, on iPads and iPhones with LiDAR. Each scan becomes an editable room on the sketch. You can always draw rooms by hand as well.

Is it IICRC S500 based?

The calculations follow IICRC S500 methods, and the in-app explainers cite the section each one comes from. Reading targets and default dry goals are settings your company controls.

What goes to the adjuster?

A Drying Report PDF with your logo: the floor plan, drying zones, environmental readings, material moisture, equipment, site visits, field notes, and photos. You pick the sections, and you can email it from Relay.

Does it track our actual equipment?

Yes. Scan or pick specific units, and they show as deployed to the job in Relay Assets. Pulling a unit returns it to available.
